In 2015, Solomon Hicks released his second album, titled "Carrying On The Torch Of The Blues", and after listening to it, we were all convinced by his message. Born in 1995, Hicks presented himself as a new-generation bluesman: a solid and original guitarist, and a singer with the depth and experience of a much longer career. On stage, there was no room for doubt, a classic-style bluesman with a refreshing, forward-looking approach. On this third album, Solomon continues to reveal to fans his great ability to evolve toward a sound of his own, using the blues as a backbone to unearth unpredictable rock riffs, warm soul licks, and even to reclaim the rock & roll spirit of Chuck Berry. Covers and originals are skillfully blended so that classic blues is ever-present, yet constantly infused with the feeling that this is thoroughly contemporary music. Hicks stands on the front line of the new blood in today’s blues scene.
