Ten years ago, singer, guitarist and composer Marcel Duprix founded the band Mojo Man, a ten-piece band that included a five-piece horn section. What could we expect from this adventure? A musical explosion with unpredictable results. The band's undisputed leader, Duprix, along with saxophonist Reinier Zervaas, have taken the hottest and most uninhibited Rhythm & Blues you can find in Europe today to its fullest expression. With an electrifying sound, Mojo Man puts on stage all the elements for blues, funk and soul to merge and freely allow each musician to experience their own sensations without conditioning a spectacular journey, a rhythmic equation that is easy to calculate and with a result that leaves no one sitting on their chair. In 2015 they released their first album in which the guitars brought their sound closer to a itinerant blues rock but with this second work "Love & Revolution" they confirm that rock is still present although it does not occupy the central lane but new emotions diverge that take them to black and more challenging sounds. The horn section defines the evolution towards an environment in which R&B takes control of operations and achieves that pure, energetic and challenging sound that defines this musical genre, experienced musicians who put each note in its place and provide an inevitable communion of rhythm and dance. We do not know what future awaits Mojo Man, but for fans they have already left us a couple of albums to enjoy the best music to warm us up in cold times.
