The second edition of the Bilbao Bues Festival has confirmed that this event is on its way to becoming one of the most attractive in all of southern Europe. The blues lover and experienced promoter Carlos Malles has managed, in just a couple of years, to attract not only fans from all over Spain but also fans from various southern European countries have begun to visit the festival, with a lineup of renowned figures from both the USA and Europe, also giving stage to national musicians, with a parity between males and females artists. Bilbao, capital of the Basque Country, has postulated itself as a city devoted to blues along the three days of the festival, offering visitors not only music but also some incentives that perfectly complete their stay in the city, friendly people, high level culture proposals and the best food and wine you can imagine. In the first edition, the BBF award was otorged in recognition of a lifetime career to the legend Bob Stroger, while in this second edition of the festival the award was deservedly awarded to contemporary blues harmonica legend, Rick Estrin. Undoubtedly a festival that already stands out in Europe and that promises steps forward in future editions.
