Anthony Geraci (New Haven, 1954) has been one of the essential artists - pure and genuine - of the blues for the past five decades. A founding member of Ronnie Earl’s Broadcasters and a member of Sugar Ray & The Bluetones since their early days, Geraci has contributed as a keyboardist to the development of blues music during its periods of growth throughout those years. His presence has been both necessary and irreplaceable. As a keyboardist, he has always emerged as a musical chameleon in the service of the blues. His ability to adapt to different styles and approaches has consistently brought a distinctive character to his performances, creating a bridge between musicians of different personalities and musical backgrounds. Based in Boston, Geraci came into contact with Bob Margolin and Jerry Portnoy, whom he met in the mid-1970s when he opened for Muddy Waters. At the same time, he crossed paths with Ronnie Earl and Sugar Ray Norcia, as he was beginning his professional career as a musician. Beginning in the 2000s, with his own band, the Boston Blues All Stars, Geraci began performing regularly and releasing his own solo albums, a journey that continues to this day. "Where Were You" is his ninth album, and I would dare say it is the most representative work of his career. It is a recording that reaches a level achieved by only a select few.
