Depth, intensity, magic, and soul. All of this can be experienced when listening to Alexis P. Suter (New York, 1963). A remarkable and liberating singer, a force of nature in its wildest state fully devoted to music. Her career has been a revelation since she began singing in the early 1990s, generating an unexpected momentum in the blues scene, bold, original, and fearless. Alexis is still an uncrowned queen, but with the future on her side. Her evolution is accompanied by an aura of sensitivity and inspiration that continues to grow and endure. This latest album, “Just Stay Live,” was recorded live by Alexis and her band in 2011 at The Falcon club in Marlboro, New York, and featured the participation of the legendary keyboardist from The Band, Garth Hudson, adding an even more epic spirit to the performance. Stripped of any embellishment, the eleven songs performed on the album showcase a singer completely devoted to an audience ready to become part of a memorable experience, alongside a band of unrestrained musicians who wrap the music as if it were a gift for their most devoted fans. Alexis P. Suter is a precious treasure of honesty and loyalty to blues music. Her voice is unique and sincere, capable of placing excellence in service of the virtue of singing from the soul. Only from the soul and the heart.
