Trainman Blues - Shadows And Shapes
00:00 / 43:23

One of the best composition work that has reached my ears lately. Born in Ireland, Richard Farrell, guitarist, singer and songwriter is responsible. Settled in Denmark, he joined his concerns with those of bassist and producer Laust Nielsen to form the duo Trainman Blues in Copenhagen in 2016. A couple of years later they released their first eponymous album which turned out to be at a height out of proportion to what can be expected from a first attempt at a new band. All the good that this magnificent first album presaged has been surpassed with "Shadows And Shapes", together with Farrell's meticulous creative work and the sinuous and at the same time clairvoyant production of Nielsen, a band of nine musicians, all excellent Danish instrumentalists, who they perfect the aesthetics and appeal of Farrell's songs, all of them sung by his thousand-colored voice that captivates any listener with a sense of style. A lovely musical work.
