The Drifter Kings are not a minor band. Founded in the middle of the last decade by inetellectual drummer and songwriter Doug Oscard, the band has created a sound as unique as homogeneous, based on classic blues but with elements that seek their place in R&B without additives and are seduced by addictive funk lines and some traces of solemn soul. There are ten songs built from the effective professionalism of the three musicians, Christopher Whitney on guitar shows total conviction in his potential with the six strings and bassist Tony Harp is another veteran and consistent musician who knows perfectly what he is doing.  In 2010 they released their debut album "Diamonds On The Desert Floor" backing singer Deb Landolt aka Long Tall Deb and it received extensive recognition and led to them being selected among the top 5 albums in the Best Self-Produced CD Category at the 2011 International Blues Challenge. Their third and latest album "Devil in my Kitchen" is a risk-free bet that will brighten the day of many blues fans and should not go unnoticed without tasting all the cuts uninhibitedly. Christopher Whitney has recently left the band, being replaced by guitarist and singer John Simon.
