Born in Wisconsin, Gerry Hundt is a multi-instrumentalist with a spectacular career behind him. He spent five years in Nick Moss's Flip-Tops band with whom he recorded five albums and toured the USA and Europe uninterruptedly. Later, in 2007, as a one-man-band he toured the North American circuit and began recording by his own. The first album was the acclaimed "Since Way Back", and throughout the period between 2008/2011 he was nominated four times as best instrumentalist (mandolin) at the BBA. So far this century, Hundt has been credited on more than forty-five albums, among many others along guitarist Corey Dennison, Chicago leaders The Cash Box Kings, pianists Rie Kanehira and Barrelhouse Chuck, harmonica player Shoji Naito, and Kilburn Alley Blues Band themselves . A super blues musician, he will always be among the best.
Born in 1971, Ronnie Shellist responds to the profile that shapes the blues harmonica musician that emerged during the last two decades. Harp players such as Jason Ricci, Grady Champion, Nick Moss or John Nemeth among others, have been leading the forefront of the blues harmonica sound throughout the last decades. And Ronnie Shellist, with a career spanning more than twenty years, must be added to the list. After being enthusiastic about the sessions and jams that were happening in the city of Austin (TX) in charge of the hottest harmonica players in the city, in the late nineties Shellist established himself as a professional. His first album was released in 2007, "The Chicago Sessions", and in 2013 he released "Til Then" his most treasured album. Without a doubt, this man has in his hands the harmonica that currently sounds the best and promises very good and exciting moments just around the corner.
Southern soul and Chicago blues, Andrew Duncanson epitomizes both styles. More than twenty years warming up audiences with The Kilborn Alley Blues Band ratify him among the most solid and qualified singers of recent decades as well as a guitarist with a personal and non-transferable language, he is not a guitar hero, he simply caresses the blues to get it out all its purity, without fireworks. Duncanson allows the band to establish a conjunction in which only what matters is that at each moment each musician contributes the essential notes that excite the rest to make each song a different journey. And the audience perceives those good vibes.
Kilborn Alley are there to keep moving the vital essence that makes the blues endure in all its expression and greatness, and Andrew Duncanson keeps the engine running smoothly.

C H E E R S M A T E S
A supergroup, understood as the union of several renowned musicians, is not only made up of virtuosos of an instrument. The meeting in a supergroup, now understood as the intersection of ideas and different musical styles to put them in common and surprise themselves, does not need as a criterion to assume the popularity of the musicians gathered. The Dig 3 is a supergroup project in which the fame of Andrew Duncanson, Ronnie Shellist and Gerry Hundt is not in the foreground, but rather it's their individual ability as musicians that makes the meeting a special and enchanting evening. For lovers of the blues in all its purity, Duncanson's guitar and voice raise the level nonstop, Shelley is amazing with the harmonica and Hundt does not leave an empty hole, a commendable participation. "The Dig 3" is their first album, a collection of fourteen generous songs, blues soaked in devotion, three super musicians giving their best. I haven't heard this blues before, these guys had never gotten to play together and the result is different. This is an album that many people should enjoy, it's worth it, you won't find proposals as edifying as this one.
