The University campus is located in the Seventh Ward district of New Orleans and the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival has been held there since 1970. Sierra Greene, the new soul diva in the city, was also born there. Since she was a teenager, her music school was Frenchmen Street, the musical center in New Orleans, and there she learned everything necessary to stand in front of an audience and sing their songs. Sierra is the fruit of the musical universality of this southern city, her voice is particularly impregnated with the sound and characteristics of its musical history, from the swamp-pop and soul to blues and funk and the most genuine and transcendental R&B of African American music. All shaken by the best cast of musicians who pilgrimage through the Crescend City and led by the best female voice since Irma Thomas, this is "Here We Are", an album that expresses a fresh and revitalizing modernity, with intelligent production and an implication of the artists who efficiently contribute to making this album a conclusive musical work. Let's welcome Sierra Green and prepare for this new blood.
