Californian born in 1951, Robben Ford, guitarist, singer and songwriter, is one of the most innovative guitarists of all time. His concept of fusion of blues, jazz and rock has made this musician an unavoidable reference in the evolution of the guitar in the last four decades. His extensive and essential career with The Blue Line has not been enough for this man, and his guitar has been present alongside Jimmy Witherspoon, with whom he performed in the early seventies and recorded two fundamental albums, or in 1986 when he joined the Miles Davis band giving the structure of the trumpeter a particular rhythmic scheme of sound. A complete guitarist, Ford continues to record and perform without losing his capacity for renewal, always evolving in search of new paths that define the guitar as an instrument of progression and creativity in the hands of a constantly evolving musician. In "Live at Yoshi's '96" we find him in full swing and on stage, it's an excellent opportunity to enjoy Robben Ford at his best.
