Born in Alaska in 1965, Rick Holmstrom has been throughout his successful musical career behind the frontman giving solidity and consistency in any of the bands in which he has played. Based in Los Angeles (CA) and active since the mid-eighties, his Telecaster has been associated with the names of William Clarke, John Dyer or the Rod Piazza's Mighty Flyers and since 2007 in the backing band of the iconic Mavis Staples. His first album by his own "Lookout!" was released in 1995 and this "See That Light" is his sixth work, and in all of them he has left his mark, between the most orthodox blues and the introduction of elements outside the genre that have given him an intrinsic personality as well as a prominent role in the contemporaryization of blues music in the past decades. Holmtrom is not just another guitarist, he's a Telecaster perfectionist and an innovator in every way.
