DAVE BARTHOLOMEW

1919-2019

REMEMBERING

Dave Bartholomew wrote the rock and roll before anyone else. Since he was fifteen has been devoted to music for eighty five years. The heritage of New Orleans is not understood without his undisputed figure as an performer, songwriter and producer, key in the development of Rhythm and Blues in the the south and, above all, together with Fats Domino, in the origin of a music unknown until then. One of the most legendary figures of American musical culture with infinite credits and a legacy that should be known by anyone interested in the muddy birth of rock and roll.
