Born in 1960, in Chilton, Wisconsin, harmonica player, singer and songwriter Robert Joseph (R.J.) Mischo succumbed to blues music after attending a Muddy Waters concert and encouraged by his friends, harmonica players Mojo Bufford and Lynwood Slim, started with the instrument and he decided to spend the rest of his life between twelve bars. Active since the late seventies, Mischo formed his first band R.J. Mischo & the Teddy Morgan Blues Band and recorded their first album "Ready to Go" in 1992. Since then, after settling in San Francisco, he became a regular at festivals and clubs on the national circuit and has been a regular on tours in Europe. Although he has not been considered a first line musician, Mischo is one of the most original, inventive and combative harmonica players of recent decades. His albums to date are true praise for subtlety and creativity, his technique is overflowing with imagination and his compositional capacity is at the level of the greats. This live album shows what a great blues artist he is.
