It was in 2005 when Mac Arnold decided, after decades of playing music in Chicago with, among others,  Muddy Waters, Otis Spann, and John Lee Hooker, to form his own band, Full Plate O' Blues. Max Hightower was there to play harmonica, guitar, and keyboards. Essential to the band, Max toured with Arnold across the United States, Canada, and Europe, and to this day, they have released six indispensable albums together. Born in the state of South Carolina, Hightower is a complete musician, multi-instrumentalist, composer, and singer. As an artist, he draws influences from southern music, soul and blues, from Memphis to the funk and rock'n'roll of New Orleans. It was in the city of all music that Max  recorded his debut album.
