SYMPTOMATIC BLUES

In Spain, they are the Argentine connection to the blues. Chino and TOTA, both from the South American country, are two prominent pillars of twelve-bar music in the country. With an individual discography as solid as it is compelling, they have now, for the first time, joined guitar and harmonica in this exquisite album, where they present thirteen classic blues songs (Robert Johnson), spirituals ("I Shall Not Be Moved" - "Down by the Riverside"), country (Hank Williams), and pop (Lennon-McCartney) in their raw form, without any unnecessary additives. Chino masters any type of guitar, electric or acoustic, but his true signature comes with the dobro, of which he is an expert. TOTA is a consummate harmonica player, his harmonic interpretations are as precise as they are rigorous with rhythm, and his role as a sideman has earned him an undeniable reputation. Together, the two musicians explore expressive paths with absolute freedom and complicity, performing the songs through their own way, these are songs that have always accompanied them. This album is the result of the work of two musicians who are honest with themselves, which translates into their involvement with the listener, who is an essential cooperator in this case. Chino Swingslide and TOTA Blues invite us to their intimate celebration.
