They started as an acoustic duo, later plugged in their instruments and incorporated other elements such as keyboards, percussion, as well as horns and string instruments. They met in high school in New York State, and the first bond that emerged was the rock'n'roll of Chuck Berry and Buddy Holly. Then they began to play together. In 1986, John Brauchier and Paul Gallucci moved to Boston and formed the band The Roadhouse Sheiks with the idea of becoming professionals. They played extensively for a while but eventually forgot about the project to focus on their own careers. Their paths crossed again in 2000 to resume, as One Dime Band, acoustic duo, their passion for blues music. Back together on the circuit, they performed regularly and, above all, wrote a lot of songs. The first to see the light appeared on their debut album "Gonna Take Sweet Time" (2017), followed by "Hoodoo & Holy Water" (2020). The excellent reception of these first two releases earned the duo well-deserved recognition among fans and media, and One Dime Band firmly established its name in the national circuit. We are witnessing two high-level musicians as composers and performers, who share an absolute complicity that is present in any situation, whether in front of the audience or in the studio, while the songs flow with a delicate sense of maturity and subtlety. The blues music is backed by an exquisite, long-established band.
