Hailing from Osnabrück, the capital city of blues in Germany, Strauss, born in 1970, took his first steps in the mid-90s when, along with Texas harmonica player Memo Gonzalez, he formed the band Bluecasters to tour Europe. His debut album, "Electric Blues", featuring Sugar Ray Norcia and Darrell Nulisch, was released in 2014, marking the beginning of a solo career that, with nine albums released and countless concerts, has earned him a reputation placing him among the best and most prestigious blues artists in Europe. Over these thirty years of career, the guitarist has developed a style that is both unique and innovative, his talent allowing him to express himself through subtle soul and intelligent funk, all without a blues guitarist falling into trivial clichés. Strauss is an exceptional guitarist, as evidenced by this latest album, alternating jump blues, classic Chicago blues and swing with determination and exuberance, featuring an omnipresent rhythm and a band that includes guitarists Alex Schultz and Rusty Zinn, who help the rest of the band have fun in high-level performing sessions.
