Jazz, swing, folk, hillbilly, blues, country, boogie, ragtime. All these musical genres concentrated in an exhibition open to individual improvisation and collective communion. Sounds recovered from the African-American musical magma of the twentieth century brought to light by a group of musicians based in Rome with expectations that attract attention for their spontaneity and conviction. Formed in 2022 by guitarist Luciano Micheli and singer Marjolein Mutsaerts, Mary Lee & The Caesar's Cowboys break any hint of academicism and imitation while completing a skillful journey through seduction and interpretive plasticity. The echo of their music has reached the rest of Europe and the United States and international recognition is beginning to fall on this daring and intrepid Italian band. Debut album "See Ya Later Gladiator" is a fun and consistent explosion of sound sensations that do not refer to the past but rather strengthen legacies to be preserved.
