Guitarist, singer and composer, Corty Byron is a troubadour, a provocative minstrel who does not disperse attention towards useless proclamations. Music is his way of understanding, playing it is sharing his emotions and nothing more. It's not about setting audiences on fire or convincing anyone, Byron's electric blues walks hand in hand with the mojo of Muddy Waters, Johnny Cash's selective country, the rationality of The Band,  Jim Morrison's sane madness or the impudence of The Rolling Stones,telling stories while looking for a common point of encounter, selecting the best moment to find his own personality when the music starts. Corty Byron is nobility and generosity of an artist, the songs hatch in multiple pieces of elegance transcribed by delicate and exquisite guitars, without unnecessary embellishments that distract attention from what is really worthwhile, the songs themselves as the only way of individual and conscious expression of the performer. This is really a good album of blues music, made for listeners who are not in a hurry, to discover an honest and sincere musician. It does not deserve to sleep in an uncrowded corner.
