LOOK FOR HIM IN NEPAL

Nepal has a musical wealth that emanates from the more than fifty ethnic groups that coexist in the country. Newari music, Tawang music, with their own ancestral percussion instruments, plucked strings and mountain horns. Born in 1980 in one of the country's rural areas, Ram Prakash Pokharel has never been to the Mississippi Delta, eight thousand miles from home, but he discovered Son House, Bukka White and Robert Johnson while playing something close to blues rock in Kathmandu restaurants. While learning from Jimi Hendrix and Eric Capton, he discovered BB King and decided that from then on he would be called Prakash Slim, he began to thoroughly investigate that music and its creators while deepening the study of the guitar. From 2003 he joined several bands like Black Hawk Nepal or The Plus Band but unfortunately the great earthquake in Nepal in 2015 and a severe illness took him out of circulation. During his convalescence he spent a week non-stop playing "Me And The Devil Blues", he posted it on Facebook and a few weeks later he received a package at home with a Resonator guitar and some slides. This first album began to take shape in the head of Prakash Slim to this day. "Country Blues From Nepal" is an exercise in gratitude to the blues music of a musician who has been influenced by nothing in life like the blues and continues to dream of the day he will be able to play his guitar and sing anywhere in the Mississippi Delta.

He has released two singles
