Founded in 2016 by songwriter, guitarist and singer Paul Boddy in Doylestown (PA), The Slidewinder Blues Band is made up of four talented musicians with long individual careers in the business, veterans and proven instrumentalists who came together to bring to the table their extensive experience in the gardens of blues and rock&roll. After a compelling EP released in 2016 and hundreds of live performances across the country, the band releases their first full-length album, and it's an explosion of rhythm and virtuism, long-lasting blues-funk, a portentous work by Boddy with the slide guitar wrapped by his three mates in an impeccable way and with a captivating decoration of a three-piece horn section. The original and persuasive revision of Elmore James' Hurts Me Too blesses a magnificent twelve song album, all performed with enormous appeal, exuding great emotion and enthusiasm. A commendable work.
