Born in Vienna in 1979, Norbert Schneider represents the most original and innovative proposal for contemporary blues music in Austria. Since the late 90s, this guitarist, singer and songwriter has put liberating energy in several bands, opening windows of fresh air in his albums and live performances. From the most classic blues with the Vienna City Blues Band, to gospel, jazz and even avant-garde reggae pop. From an austere and almost minimalist composition, the guitar is another instrument in a set of calm and transcendent rhythms and melodies, enhancing vocal harmonies that are integrated into a more than interesting game of seductive and pleasant combinations of rhythm and cadences. Schneider's work has twice been awarded the Amadeus Austrian Music Prize in the Jazz/world/blues category, the City of Vienna Blues Prize and second place in the European Blues Challenge 2012. This is his sixth solo album and it's a delight to listen to the wonderful music it contains.
