An Italianman in New York. Noé Socha was born in 1992 in the town of Carpi, northern Italy, for years he has been based in Brooklyn, New York, and graduated with honors from the Berklee College of Music, obtaining the Jimi Hendrix award as the center's best guitarist. In love with jazz and blues, in 2017 he began professionally with the band Likho Duo, releasing an album that same year. He immediately formed another band called The New York Gremmies with whom in 2022 they released the album "Introducing...The New York Gremmies", eleven instrumentals oriented by the music of The Ventures and experiments with the guitar reminiscent of Brian Wilson. From this album as well as from his surprising and forceful live appearances on the NYC circuit, Noé Socha began to amass a reputation as an artist that has not gone unnoticed by fans in the city and his prestige has been growing day by day with the deepest respect as a guitarist and harp player from his colleagues. Noé's guitar sounds clear and delicate in riffs that allow his conception of blues to also be modeled by funk, soul or jazz rhythms while the solos have unlimited precision, flowing without complexes or schemes that could impede freedom in their execution. The joint guitar and harmonica phrasings give this musician a particular seal of distinction that distinguishes him from other artists, all the cuts are instrumental and transfer to the listener the feeling of being in front of a conceptual musical work. "Simplebluesboy" is a guitar/harmonica album, recorded live and with few overdubs that distort the original concept, that is, a blues guitarist raising his personal transgression towards a generational music that, starting from rock & roll, persists in maintaining links with the African American popular music legacy. Socha is an exquisite guitarist, a sensational harp player and a modern and brilliant songwriter. This first album by his own is a delight to savor without pauses or pre-established guidelines.
