Passion for music, passion for the blues, is what defines harmonica player, guitarist, singer, and songwriter Nic Clark. Linked to the Little Village Foundation since he met Kid Andersen while on the road with Rick Estrin's Night Cats, he also came into contact with Jim Pugh and began to appear in recording studios ,until in 2021 he was ready to record his first album "Love Your Life / Songs for the Whole Family", an elegy to his mystical and particular relationship with the family. His fast maturation process has once again led Andersen to produce this second album "Everybody's Buddy", with a result that is as encouraging as it is charming. This is an album in which each passage is modulated by the precision of a calm musician who takes the necessary time to play and sing, without haste, inviting the listener to go through each phrase with him and reach the end at the same time. Time will tell, but listening to Nic Clark in this position is a luxury within the reach of a few.

At 25, D.K. Harrell not only occupies a prominent place among the new generation of emerging blues musicians but his album "The Right Man" is undoubtedly the best among those who have debuted with a first album in 2023. Originally from Ruston, Louisiana, Harrell has recorded a collection of unsurpassed good songs, the musicians who have backed him in the studio give the indisputable credit so that the result is inevitably irresistible. Jerry Jemmot, Tony Coleman, Jim Pugh, Kid Andersen (who also produces the album) set the tone for a section of seven horn pieces to take the groove to the heights. It's not easy to come across musicians like D.K., totally exuberant with the guitar and his classic singing style, blues with all the strength you can imagine, rootsy blues funk limitlessly convincing. B.B. smiles widely when he listens to him.
