An unexpected meeting. A confluence in the studio recording after months of work and checking the connection between two musicians from very different musical fields. The eclectic and brilliant Chaz Jankel, we met him in the seventies playing guitar and keyboards in Ian Dury's seminal Blockheads - Sex & Drugs & Rock'n'Roll - and Michael Messer, a guitar master, European slide guitar reference, with a background unique of the best roots music captured in ten supreme albums and the experimentation with his Mitra project. "Mostly We Drive" is a consummate exercise in reflection and ambition, creative freedom to write songs without complexes, an immeasurable instrumental capacity put at the service of the artistic imagination. These two veteran British musicians have composed and recorded eleven magical songs, loyal to the blues and committed to the avant-garde, a return to the warmth of intimacy between two friends who forget about complexes and are far from any predictable logic. Michael Messe and Chaz Jankel, an unexpected and so fruitful meeting that it deserves special attention due to its unusual journey.
