JELLY ROLL MORTON - FATS WALLER - ALLEN TOUSSAINT - PROFESSOR LONGHAIR - HENRY BUTLER - FATS DOMINO - DR.JOHN - JAMES BOOKER - CHAMPION JACK DUPREE -TUTS WASHINGTON
All the names mentioned above belong to essential pianists in the music of New Orleans, jazz, blues, funk and rock'n'roll, the genuine essence of its musical DNA. All their legacy has allowed to develop a decisive influence on black music of the twentieth century and without it we would not be writing these lines. In a corner of northern Italy, in Pavova, near Venice, a few years ago a musician emerged who had internalized all those emotions arising from the south of the United States and with his hands on the piano succumbed to all those notes, rhythms and harmonies. Max "Alligator" Lazzarin embarked on the adventure of touring the stages of his country with his luggage full of his music inspired by the great New Orleans piano masters and got the attention of an audience that immediately perceived the nature of his performances. Lazzarin is a powerful pianist and an excellent singer and entertainer who faithfully reproduces the musical heritage received from all those musicians without losing an instant of originality and singularity in his performances. This is his third album and it doesn't disappoint however difficult the task may seem.
