Originally from Bordeaux, France, Lenny Lafargue (Gérald Lafargue) is a leading musician on the blues scene in France. Along with another emblem of the genre, harp player and singer Benoit Blue Boy, he uses his own French language to sing the blues that his exquisite guitar embellishes with elegance and precision. In his teens, he was studying in England while the blues explosion was taking place on the island and upon returning to France, he decided to leave everything for music. In 1976 he founded the band Mojo Blues, beginning to perform some appearances in France and even playing in Spain. In 1983 he was called to play with Memphis Slim on tour around the country, two years later he founded a music school and continued performing live sharing stages with Eddie C. Campbell, John Hammond, Jimmy Johnson, Bernard Alison, Dana Gillepsie , Otis Grand, Lurrie Bell, Lazy Lester, Louisiana Red among others. In 1990 he recorded "Mauvaise carte", his first album in which he actively appealed to the use of his language to sing the blues. His style unequivocally claimed Louisiana blues, swamp pop, New Orleans funk and, how could it not be in another way, the French origins of Zydeco. Lafargue is a committed blues artist.
