Leo Ladell (King Leo) born in Virginia and based in the New Zealand city of Nudenin, is a multi-instrumentalist absolutely necessary to discover the blues that takes place in the Australian country. Before the release of this third shot, Leo recorded two albums of a maximum caliber. With his band The Growling Dogs he released in 2008 a superb double album entitled "Mad Dog", a collection of twenty blues, funk and rock'n'roll songs without waste, and in 2015 a second album with new musicians entitled "Revival", twelve gospel-oriented songs of impeccable craft and great interpretive fervour. His son Oscar, who has followed in his footsteps with a professional career with five albums and a prominent role in the blues scene in New Zealand, carries the weight of the guitar in this third installment of King Leo, an EP called "She's Alright", a short but intense studio work where he once again shows his ability to create simple songs that grow as you listen to them, to end up being great songs performed with power and conviction. You'll need an apology if you don't try it with Leo.
