Florida's blues rock hero JP Soars was born in Anaheim (CA) in 1969 but since 1999 he settled in Boca Raton, where he's based permanently. His originary passion for metal rock led him to join and record with several bands of the genre, but it did not prevent him from discovering Django Reinhardt and falling in love with his music, which led to the formation of a short-lived jazz combo. In 2007 he visited Memphis for the first time and the city renewed his profile as a guitarist and formed JP Soars & The Red Hot along with drummer Chris Peet and bassist Cleveland Frederick. With the new band he won the 2009 edition of the IBC and marked his general recognition and the launch of a musical career that has made him a prominent figure on the American blues circuit in just a few years, which has also led him to perform in Europe on several tours across the continent. Soars is a select guitarist, he masters any style with the instrument and is an outstanding two-string Cigar Box player with which he extracts a unique sound and has created his own sonority, fitting perfectly with the beat created with the bass and drum rhythm that back him. Without a doubt, with six studio albums released, JP Soars is in the forefront of contemporary blues rock guitarists, sharing the spotlight with other heroes of his generation such as Mile Zito, Damon Fowler, Albert Castiglia, Eric Gales, Alastair Greene or Carolyn Wonderland. Soars is at his best and this album justifies any praise. "Brick By Brick" is dynamite.
