Ina Forsman is a Finnish female singer who has been determined to be a singer since her childhood. Born in Helsinki in 1994, Ina has a voice out of the ordinary, behind a certain shyness and an uncontrollable sweetness one discovers a singer steeped in Nina Simone and Aretha Franklin, of black music in the sixties and without hiding blues music. Finnish blues and harmonica legend Herge Tallqvist introduced Forsman to the blues so in early 2000 she spent a couple of years singing in his band. Her first album by her own was produced by Mark "Kaz" Kazanoff for RUF Records in 2016, recorded in Austin (TX) and backed by a band including guitarist Laura Chavez and The Texas Horns themselves. The album had an unexpected acceptance among those who discovered the singer, discovering a voice that especially deserved her attention. After breaking through the front door on the blues circuits in Europe, her steady progression as an artist as well as her growing reputation as a live singer, RUF produced her second album in 2019 which lived up to her first record. Ina was in the cast of two albums of the RUF's Blues Caravan series, making the two consequent promotional tours. With the new decade, the singer joins Jazzhaus, also a German label, which has just released her third album "All There Is", without a doubt the best album she has recorded. In any passage of the album you can perceive the immense work of composition, arrangements and orchestration that does not leave any empty detail and Ina gives off a vocal interaction with extremely elegant and careful registers that make her a simply anthological singer. A black voice.
