The same year that their first album "Gunbender" (2019) was released, I Shot A Man were Keb' Mo''s backing band at the Deltablues Festival in Rovigo (Italy). That debut album hid a good handful of good ideas synthesized in an electric delta blues and sensitive to the introduction of energetic and acidic guitars with rhythms that sometimes seem close to Hill Country Blues and in others show a music with roots in a pure state. After the release of that album, the band represents Italy at the 2022 IBC and takes the opportunity to play in clubs and bars throughout the southern United States. Back in Europe, the three musicians begin to prepare what will be their second work in the studio. Everything that was written down in the first album comes to light in "Dues", all the intuition that the trio showed then is transformed into truly intelligent songs absorbed by a revealing intimacy and coherence. I Shot A Man play the blues with a tolerance that allows them not to take wrong paths at the same time that the inescapable fidelity to the genre is present in each of the songs they perform. This second album is the logical confirmation of an unusual band, which discovers their potential through innovative elegance and the loyalty they give to the blues they perform from diverse and vigorous starting points. These musicians are committed to the fundamentals but go one step further without complexes, achieving an original and modern creative result.

"They like to say that this whole thing was a bad idea, because the blues is the first music you try to play when you pick up a guitar, but it's the last one you really learn to play, and sometimes one isn't enough life. It was a bad idea because when you decide to play the blues it means that something went wrong somewhere, that there is some unfinished business with life." (ISAM)
