In the old tradition that country blues has maintained with the duo format, generally guitar, harmonica and vocals. In this case veteran percussionist and singer Jaisson Taylor joins guitarist Brandon Hudspeth again in a second album after the acclaimed "Folie a Two" (2019). We are talking about twelve songs with a markedly pre war blues style, there is no harmonica, only guitar and percussion in a translation of the rudimentary and acoustic sound of the delta pioneers. Hudspeth's guitar work is faithful to the original, it shows a technique also with the slide of a high interpretative level that together with the potential and clarity of Taylor's voice make this album a piece of conservation of the rural tradition of blues from Mississippi in the first half of the twentieth century. Incursions to the bottom of the vault that contains the legacy of the most primary and embryonic blues music are the best bet to continue transmitting to the new generations of fans how it all began.
