Reggae Roots and blues feeling. Son of Jamaican parents, born in Brixton (UK) and based in London, harmonica player, singer and songwriter Errol Linton for years played in the London underground in exchange for tips until in 1991 he met by chance John Walters, producer of BBC Radio 2, who invited him to his program. Two years later, he appeared alongside Big Bill Broonzy in the BBC 2 Arena documentary, "Two Generations of the Blues" which gave him some popularity in English blues circles. He formed his own band, Errol Linton Blues Vibe, with whom he recorded two albums and established himself in the London underground blues circuit. With a new band, which already included pianist Petar Zivkovic and drummer Kenrick Rowe, musicians who continue on this new album, in 2011 he released "Mama Said", followed by "Packing My Bags" that began a trilogy through Brass Dog Records, which was followed by the magnificent "No Entry" in 2020 and closed by the present album "Break The Seal". Innovative through the roots music that has formed him as a blues artist, Linton attacks the established with a particularly unique sound, lines from a rhythm section inherited from the family Caribbean legacy and a commitment to a harmonica without great solos but with a continuous presence in harmonies and rhythmic structures. His particular voice is not the main claim of his songs but it gives a differentiating character to his vindictive lyrics. Linton won the UK Blues Challenge 2023 and represented the UK Blues Federation both at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis, USA, and the European Blues Challenge in Braga, Portugal. This man is an artist to follow closely.
