At 21, St-Louis born Dylan Triplett is scheduled to hit the top to meet the greats of blues and soul music. Listening to this debut album I have no doubt about it. Bass lines marking the direction, a delirious sax and a sublime orchestration are put at the service of a sinuous and exciting voice, nuances of all colors embellish songs that are indebted to the classic soul of the sixties, Motown and Stax, James Brown, Ray Charles and the blues of Little Milton. At the age of 15 he began to sing on circuits, leaving audiences astonished by his eff
ectiveness in controlling the his multiple vocal techniques, as well as by his educated, delicate with
an insinuating and transgressive sonority. "Who Is He?" it is his first album and has been released by Vizztone Label, always leading new and encouraging proposals. The shadow of Marvin Gaye sometimes appears while the twelve-bar blues warms up some cuts and in others The Temptations imprint is a step forward. "Who Is He?" It is a perfect album, black music in the hands of some musicians enlightened by purity and excellence and some songs without any fissure interpreted from conviction and respect. A true sensation of an exceptional singer.
