Hey guys, Duwayne is back with a memorable album! Gone is the reissue of his first album "Live At The L.A. Mint" (1998) released in 2008, and Duwayne picks up the songs learned from hearing them played by his father, the icon of Hill Country Blues, RL Burnside. Each of the songs performed on the album are a look of respect and admiration, if not a subtle tribute, to the legend of the hills of northern Mississippi. Recorded over a period of more than a year at his home in Holly Springs, Duwayne's acoustic guitar and voice, deep and emblematic, resonate powerfully and with a charisma that outlines and defines his particular way of understanding the blues as the only possible path to express himself as an artist. A necessary collaborator in the adventures of the Dickinson brothers in The North Mississippi All Stars, Duwayne reproduces and contemporize the blues with which he lived as a child and continues to feed this style that developed between the dust of the road, the second-class whiskey and the old houses of this corner between the hills of the north of the state. The generosity with which Duwayne Burnside gives us these twelve songs is priceless and deserves all the respect, admiration and gratitude.
