Roomful of Blues, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, The Pleasure Kings, an indispensable part of the history of blues music. Jazz,  Swing, Blues, Soul, Rock'n'roll, indivisible from the music of the twentieth century. And Michael John "Duke" Robillard (born October 4, 1948) as the undisputed master of ceremonies. More than forty albums starring and another fifty as a special guest. Active since the mid-sixties, Duke is the guitarist of guitarists, an established innovator, a master of masters. From "Too Hot To Handle" (1985) til today,  Rhode Island-born Robillard has been, along with a few others favorites like Michael Bloomfield, Roy Buchanan, Ronnie Earl, Danny Gatton or Johnny Winter, the white blues guitarist who has most and best influenced all generations of guitarists over the past five decades. In a dynamic intersection of styles and techniques, an emblematic stage presence and an expressive lucidity as a songwriter have made Duke Robillard an artist as necessary as indispensable in blues history. "Roll With Me" is made up of twelve songs recorded in 2005 and which was initially shelved by Duke himself and which now sees the light through Stony Plain Records, the label for which it was recorded. On the album he surrounds himself with old colleagues from Roomful Of Blues and inseparable musicians like Mark Texeira and Marty Ballou, and combines four of his own songs with other wonderful covers of Gatemouth Brown, Eddie Boyd, Fats Domino, Big Joe Turner, Muddy Waters and Willie Dixon. One more, this album is supreme.
