Vivian Vance Kelly, daughter of bluesman Vance Kelly, was born in Chicago in 1997 and from a young age became soaked in the familiar musical environment. From her gospel roots, she went on to sing in a local Hip-Hop band, listen to a lot of rhythm and blues, until her father introduced her to blues music in the late nineties. Since then, she sings the blues as a natural, family tradition, far from the spotlight and  the deserved recognition. Vivian stands as one of the best female blues voices in Chicago,  only two albums to date, "Rock My Soul" (Feelin 'Good Records - 2011) and "Hit Me Up" (volume 64 of the Chicago Blues Sessions collection of Wolf Records - 2015), both essential pieces, and in 2019 the Austrian label repeats with "Chicago Here I Come" a new work that, like the previous two, deserves to be in a prominent place. A good one !
