Paul Butterfield was born to play the blues and dedicated the entire life to the blues. He passed away  young, at the age of forty-five, punished for the red lines crossed, but in good musical form, with half a career ahead and as the hero who, in the early sixties, launched with both Elvin Bishop and Michael Bloomfield to revitalize the blues in Chicago, exclusive black music until then, and start educating the white audience about Muddy Waters, Little Walter, Junior Parker or Howlin Wolf. In 1978 he was not at his best, backed by a rock band and his music suffered. But it's still a document with historical content.
