David Kearney aka Guitar Shorty was born in Houston in 1939 and belongs to a generation of Texan guitar players among which is Johnny Copeland, Albert Collins, WC Clark, Freddie King or Joe "Guitar" Hughes, or what is the same, the names that laid the foundation of modern Texas blues. Maybe from the second line, Guitar Shorty has remained until today, at 79, as one of the artists considering as a living legend in active. "Trying To Find My Way Back" is a blues album with capital letters, with a guitarist and singer at the end of his career that shows his spectacular ability to perform throughout the album. I love his personal approach of Buffalo Springfield's classic "For What Is Worth". For many years Mr. Kearney!
