A new live recording of Carl Weathersby is always great news. Born in Jackson (MS) sixty-six years ago, he's a true legend of the Chicago blues. After returning from Vietnam, in the late 70's, he started playing guitar with Albert King and in 1995 he started a solo career until today, with eight albums by his own, member of the mythical band Sons Of Blues with Billy Branch and occasionally play with the fantastic Mississippi Heat. In his list of participations he has put his guitar at the service of myths such as Carey Bell, Hubert Sumlin, Buster Benton or Little Milton, a list that accredits him as one of the most solid and reputable contemporary blues guitarists. In a live concert Carl Weathersby is deep and transcendent, his guitar evokes Albert King like no other and his music is simply sweeping. Pure blues.
