Who and how can beat The Beatles, Thelonious Monk, The Beach Boys and Ray Charles on the same album? The answer is the newyorker guitarist Oz Noy on his tenth album. It is not eclecticism, not heterodoxy, simply a guitarist who reinvents ideas without limits or prejudices that restrict his creativity. Surrounded by a select group of musicians, Oz Noy reflects on each of the tracks his roots in pop, jazz, rhythm and blues and latin sounds, leaving evidence of his solidity as a contemporary guitarist and composer. In the sixties they called it Boogaloo, but now it is better to listen to Oz Noy and his suggestions.
