LIVE COPENHAGEN JUNE 2021

The Nordic European countries have always maintained a pioneering and open tradition regarding Jazz and Blues music. At the end of the seventies there was a wide introduction of blues and numerous bands emerged, creating a considerable explosion of the genre. In Denmark, Copenhagen Blues Band staged a peculiar case at the beginning of the eighties. Formed by excellent musicians, they toured the circuit not only in their country but also in neighboring countries such as Norway or Sweden, even opened for BB King, but never recorded an album, and ended up disbanding. Forty years later the band has met again with the original members and with the addition of new musicians and they have recorded this "Come a little bit closer" which is definitely their first album. The imposing and charismatic voice of Charlotte Ottenheim outlines each song so that her mates show off their incredible skills in each instrument, leaving as a prize a collection of calm, persuasive songs full of chromatic musical nuances. This is a good album to listen to when you get home and need some quiet time and good music.
