"Are You Living To Die?"
City Woods is the personal project of Peruvian singer, guitarist and songwriter Diego Telge. The story began in 2016 when, together with his mate David Chang, he composed the album "Are you living to die?", released in 2018, ten songs in acoustic format and in which the mixture of folk and blues prepared the way to consolidate his future intentions. After the album's releasing, Chang left the project and Diego Telge formed the full band, including electric instrumentation. From then on, he began a journey in which he made his music known throughout the country, consolidating their position as a band in the Peruvian music scene, showing himself as an artist deeply involved in roots music, developing his own style in which blues, soul and folk music define an introspective work that enhances his interiority as well as his journey through a vital and rich road. The concept of alternative can be applied to his music as it explores independent paths and allows certain risks that compete with classic schemes, all of this translating into fresh and pleasing songs that balance between modernity and tradition. The word that can best define Diego Telge is inspiration, chords, harmonies and rhythms suggest an explicit enthusiasm as a way of composing songs, with deliberately expressive texts and simple but extremely effective interpretations. "Highs and Lows" is an example of the universality of American roots music, capable of being assumed and externalized anywhere in the world and only needs good musicians with loyalty and commitment capable of understanding that the popular music of the 20th century It's not an exclusive heritage
