WHEN THE FEELS COME OUT

Mix a little funk from James Brown, soul from Wilson Pickett and blues from Howlin Wolf and the result will be a voice as particular as it is exciting: Greg Copeland from Portsmouth, Virginia. Chris Wragg, from Sheffield (UK) is an extraordinary guitarist fed by the blues of Buddy Guy and Magic Sam who played in the band Mudcats Blues Trio, a solid combo with echoes of Stevie Ray Vaughan. They both met in 2015 during a festival in Belgium, connected quickly and the idea arose to form an artistic duo and perform throughout Europe. The good chemistry between both musicians, supported by the magnificent reception of their live concerts, encouraged the couple to record their first album, “Deep in the Blood” released in 2019, with the support of guests such as Greg Guy (son of Buddy Guy) on guitar, Shirley King (daughter of B B King) on vocals and spanish harmonica player Marcos Coll. The presentation of this album led them to a tour of Europe, followed by the release of a second album recorded live at The Greystones in Sheffield in 2019 and during the pandemic stoppage when they heated the songs for "The Last Sundown", their third and recent album. Chris Wragg and Greg Copeland are pure dynamite and deserve to be in a prominent place in the preferences of true fans of uninhibited blues.
