Born in Rome (Italy) Fabrizio "Breezy" Rodio, after spending time in New York, found his place in the Chicago blues scene since he arrived in the city in 2007. His talents on the guitar immediately caught the attention of Linsey Alexander who just seeing him perform got him into his band. While still with Linsey, with whom he recorded three albums, in 2010 he founded his own blues band and the following year he released his first album "Playing My Game Too". After a second album in 2014, Rodio established himself on the Chicago club circuit and soon caught the attention of Delmark Records, a label that produced his next two albums "Sometimes The Blues Got Me" (2018) and "If It Ain't Broke Don't Fix It" (2019) being two essential albums among the new young blues artists of his generation. His background stores rock & roll bands like Led Zeppelin or Deep Purple that he discovered in his teens and also his approach to Reggae music of which he is an active player, recording with his parallel band Breezy Rodio and The Coolers and with Rastaman Kofi James. "Underground Blues" is his fifth album by his own and is, in addition to a clairvoyant work, an exercise in prospecting where blues music can circulate today. Breezy Rodio represents the present and the future of blues music and there is no doubt that it's in good hands.
