Born and raised in Japan, Shoji Naito, after playing in some amateur bands, emigrated to the United States in 1996 to rise as a musician, graduating from Columbia College in Chicago six years later. During those years, he began to be seen by the city clubs behind musicians such as Lurrie Bell or John Primer, until in 2004 Chicago legend Eddy "The Chief" Clearwater hired him as a member of his touring band. With the master he recorded and produced the live "Soul Funky", the last album Eddy ever recorded. "Westmont To Chicago Tribute To Eddy Clearwater" is Shoji Naito's second solo album, a tribute to his mentor surrounded by the musicians who were around and admired him. A Chicago blues album signed by incredible musicians, and great moments of complicity as the four songs recovered in which we can find playing the great boss himself. Don't stop listening to Shoji Naito, don't disappoint.
