Steve Gene Wold aka Seasick Steve was born in Oakland (CA) in 1941, he had his first recognition as a bluesman in England in 2006 with his surprise appearance on the famous Jools Holland's TV show. Until then he had been a nomad of the world, since the late 60s he could be found performing in any corner and in remote clubs in the United States, as well as in Europe in the corridors of the Paris subway or joining in some lost recording session in London. After that unexpected success, he recorded his first album "Dog House Music" at the age of 65 and since then his popularity and presence has been a constant in his career. Seasick Steve after 10 releases, is still a nomad in 2020 and his music and his life continues with the same energy and originality as always while his conviction as a bluesman is intact around almost 80. Long live this phenomenal musician and his music.
