At the age of eighty-one, Luther "Guitar Jr" Johnson is a living icon of blues music. In the Muddy Waters blues band along the seventies, his story is part of the legend among the Chicago west-side guitarists who shaped the particular style of that area of the windy city. His solo albums have been decisive for modern electric blues and his legacy has survived to this day, leaving behind him countless followers of the best blues music that has ever sounded around the world. "Won't Be Back No More" is a piece from his heart, for the first time in solo and in acoustic format, an entirely intimate work recorded during two days at his home in Florida last June. We must not miss the opportunity to meet Luther Johnson one more time, this time more sincere and deepest than ever.
