Premature Maturity

"King" Solomon Hicks was born in New York's Harlem in 1995 ( just turned 25) and since he was a child he has carried a guitar hanging on his back. In 2010 he could be found playing the guitar in the Cotton Club's house-band, with whom he recorded the live album "Embryonic". His first studio work came to light in 2015 explicitly called "Carrying On The Torch Of The Blues", a tremendously good album that revealed a guitarist, singer and songwriter with high conviction and enthusiasm. Mascot Label has just released "Harlem", eleven songs showing a premature maturity both in the composition and in the performance of a musician like Solomon Hicks that don't need to convince to nobody that blues music is in very good hands.
