This collection of 40 tracks is to date the best of the editions that collects the recordings made by Johnny Winter before his seminal "The Progressive Blues Experiment" released in 1968 by the local Sonobeat label just before signing for Columbia. With an excellent sound and in perfect chronologycal order, we can enjoy a virgin musician, placing himself in an eloquent starting line, from his first sessions at the end of 1963 until that first anthological album was released. No song is left behind and the paradox allows these compisitions recorded almost sixty years ago to show us a fresh and shot to success Johnny Winter.
